Fewer Meetings.
More Real Work.
A community for forward-thinking leaders ready to unlock the full potential of remote work.
Does this sound familiar?
You’ve tried cutting meetings, but they just keep creeping back onto the calendar
You’ve spent all day in Slack, only to have key points ignored or misunderstood
You’ve attempted to implement new tools, but they seem to create more confusion than clarity
Your processes feel scattered across a dozen apps and platforms, leaving your team frustrated and wasting time searching for information
You’re struggling to build trust and culture when you’re working time zones apart and feeling a lack of team engagement
Details often fall through the cracks, and it feels like you’re constantly playing catch-up
Your team is busy, but the work done doesn’t feel impactful, as if everyone is working hard but not getting anywhere
You see the potential of remote work, but the reality hasn’t lived up to the promise yet
You’ve worked hard to adapt your processes for remote work, but they still feel clunky and inefficient in this new environment. Your team still feels stuck in old habits that aren’t designed for the way we work today
If you find yourself frustrated with spending hours in back-to-back Zoom calls daily, only to leave without clear decisions or meaningful progress…
There’s a better way
It’s Time to Say Goodbye to Outdated Work Practices 👋
Why should I join the
Work Forward Society?
What do endless Zoom calls, scattered Slack messages, and burnout from unclear expectations have in common? They’re all symptoms of outdated work practices.
Not so long ago, remote work was a rare perk reserved for a select few. Today, it powers some of the world’s top companies. The challenge? Leading remote teams in a way that empowers them to focus on meaningful work instead of getting stuck in endless meetings.
The truth is, most leaders are still adapting to this shift. Old-school leadership techniques can’t keep up when your team spans multiple locations and time zones.
When remote work is done well, you unlock your team's full potential. It’s more than just working from anywhere. It’s about creating an environment where trust replaces micromanagement, autonomy fuels innovation, and collaboration happens seamlessly across time zones.
Teams feel empowered to focus on the impactful work rather than being bogged down by bad meetings or unclear processes. With the right strategies, remote teams aren’t just functional... they thrive. The possibilities are endless when remote work is approached with intention. That’s where the Work Forward Society comes in.
We’re not working in the past and debating a return to outdated office norms. Instead, we’re working forward and discovering strategies that reduce meeting overload, strengthen distributed team collaboration, and build a thriving culture no matter where work happens.
The Work Forward Society exists to empower you with the tools to lead your team effectively in a remote-first world. You’ll connect with forward-thinking leaders who value autonomy, innovation, and collaboration. Join us to ensure your team thrives (not just survives) in the future of work.

Who created this?
Hey there, I’m Marissa Goldberg, founder of Remote Work Prep and creator of The Work Forward Society. Since 2018, I’ve helped dozens of innovative remote companies eliminate unnecessary meetings and embrace innovative work practices.
I’ve worked with YC-backed startups, agencies, and creator businesses with millions of followers, guiding them to scale and succeed in the remote-first era. I’ve seen firsthand what works (and what doesn’t) in leading distributed teams.
I created The Work Forward Society to share those insights with forward-thinking leaders like you—because I believe the future of work is about more than just working from home. It’s about embracing autonomy to transform how we work, connect, and succeed together.
Spots are limited during the early launch, and future openings will come at a higher price. Join by January 20th to lock in your spot
